Coronavirus Lockdown: Should India extends lockdown?

आज बात करते है क्या भारत में lockdown की अवधि को बढ़ाया जाएगा जोकि 14 अप्रैल को पूर्ण हो रही है। ये फैसला भारत सरकार के अधीन है तो इसमें हस्तक्षेप करना उचित नही होगा। लेकिन कई स्टडी के द्वारा दावा क़िया गया है 21 दिन की lockdown  की अवधि पर्याप्त नही हैै, इस महामारी की पूर्णतः रोकथाम के लिए। तो ऐसा ही एक दावा किया गया है श्री राजेश सिंह और आर. अधिकारी के द्वारा जोकि कैम्ब्रिज यूनिवर्सिटी के Applied mathematics और Theoretical Physics के डिपार्टमेंट में कार्यरत हैं। आइये बात करते कि उनकी इस स्टडी में उन्होंने क्या-क्या तथ्यों पर बात की है।

राजेश सिंह और आर. अधिकारी की यह स्टडी mathematical calculation से संबंधित है।  इन्होंने चार अलग अलग आकलनों और तथ्यों पर बात की है।
प्रथम आकलन है जोकि  21 दिन का लॉकडाउन चल रहा है। तो अगर यह lockdown 21 दिन मतलब कि 14 अप्रैल को खत्म किया जाता है तो उसके बाद कोरोना वायरस के मरीजों की संख्या में तेजी से वृद्धि होगी। जो इतने दिन का रोकथाम चल रही है वो भी विफल हो सकती है।

द्वितीय आकलन है, जोकि अगर 21 दिन के lockdown के बाद 5 दिन की छूट के बाद 28 दिन के लिए lockdown को फिर से लगाना। लेकिन इसमें भी यही पाया गया है कि जो आँकड़ा है infected लोगों को उसमे भी वृद्धि पाई जाएगी। क्योंकि जो 5 दिन की छूट होगी उसमे ज्यादा भीड़ बढ़ सकती है।

 जो तीसरा आकलन है वो तीन lockdown की तरफ इशारा है। क्या है जानते हैं,  पहला lockdown 21 दिन जोकि वर्तमान में चल रहा है उसके बाद 28 दिन का और उसके बाद 18 दिन का। और ये तीनो lockdown की बीच मे 5 दिन की छूट जो कि तीनों lockdown को एक दूसरे से अलग करती है। सिंह और अधिकारी दोनों ने कहा है इस स्थिति में जो infected लोगों का आंकड़ा है, वो 10 से भी कम हो सकता है  जो एक अच्छा संदेश है coronavirus की रोकथाम में।

चौथा आकलन है जिसमे 49 दिन के lockdown  की बात की गयी है बिना किसी छूट के और इस अवधि में भी नए केस आने की संभावना 10 से भी कम होगी।
इस स्टडी से तो यही पता चलता है कि तीन सप्ताह का lockdown प्रयाप्त नही है इस महामारी को रोकने के लिए। और दो-तीन दिन से राज्य सरकारें भी केंद्र सरकार से आग्रह कर रही है कि lockdown की अवधि को बढ़ाया जाए तो अनुमान यही है बढ़ाया जाएगा और हम सभी  इस महामारी को हराने में सफल होंगे। 
अंत मे यही कहूँगा की जागरूक रहें, सजग रहें और घरों पर रहे तथा हमारे मेडिकल स्टाफ और पुलिसकर्मियों के सहयोग करते रहें।

A kind gesture: Indian government supplies HCQ to other countries. India,  the largest producer of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) , initially banned exports  of the drug on March 25 to ensure adequate domestic supplies. But due to the coronavirus epidemic 30 countries including U.S, U.K, Brazil and south asian countries  have asked to India to supply them with HCQ.
