Our heritage sites
Today I am going to talk about our heritage place. Today's day is celebrated as World Heritage and International Day for Monuments and Sites.The theme of World Heritage Day 2020 is "Shared Culture, Shared Heritage and Shared Responsibility". Today where the whole world is fighting the COVID-19 epidemic, this topic plays an important role. India Stands 6th Largest in the World with 38 World Heritage Sites. And we have an obligation to protect our heritage. It is not possible to talk about all the heritage places in this article, then let's talk about the some famous heritage places.
Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal which is located in Agra. It is also included in 7 Wonders of the World. Every year 8 million people come to see this amazing place. This beautiful place was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz. 20000 people worked to create this monument, which is history in itself. Valuable items were brought from all over the world to build the Taj Mahal. It is the most famous heritage place in India.

This Hampi Place is located in Karnataka. This place is reminiscent of the Great Vijayanagara Kingdom. There are monuments on it, as soon as they see it, it seems to be celebrating the fame of that Vijayanagar Kingdom. This is because of the architecture work that has been included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Sun Temple

Sun temple is a famous heritage place in Konark. This temple is dedicated to Sun praised as Lord Surya Dev in the 13th centuary by Narasimha Das I. Actually this temple was built in a shape of a huge chariot with sevem horses drwaing it and with 12 pairs of wheels. Sun temple is also recognized as UNESCO Heritage sites.
Khajuraho Temples

Khajuraho Temples is a group of Temples. These temples are divided into three parts which is a group of Eastern, Western and Southern Temples.
This temple is well known for its exotic sculpture. Khajuraho Temples Are Recognized by UNESCO Wolrd Heritage Sites due to the architectural wonder. These Temples have been dedicated to the different religion, in which Jainism and hinduism are main.
